Van Cliburn silver medalist Beatrice Rana to perform
Italian pianist Beatrice Rana took the silver medal and the Audience Award in June at the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. At 8 p.m. Oct. 29, she鈥檒l play a free, public concert in Comstock Hall at the University of Louisville.
Bourke, Wiegman receive honors during 2013 Pride Week

Civil Rights history to come to campus in visiting exhibit
In October 1960, Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. sat in the Fulton County jail although the charges brought against him had been dropped. Louisvillians Carl and Anne Braden were outraged and sent King a telegram of support on Oct. 24.
