LOUISVILLE, Ky. 鈥擜 group of students and alumni from the University of Louisville will head to destinations across the globe as winners in competitive academic scholarships.
鈥淎nnouncing these scholarships is one of the best parts of my job,鈥 UofL President James Ramsey said. 鈥淚t reaffirms that our students are just as talented and getting the same academic enrichment opportunities as those at the nation鈥檚 most elite institutions.鈥
Seven scholars earned UofL has had 75 Fulbrights since 2003, more than all other Kentucky colleges combined. Of the seven awardees, one will conduct independent research and six will teach English during their time abroad; all will graduate this semester unless otherwise noted.
