LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville today announced that Rhonda Bishop will be the university鈥檚 new vice president for enterprise risk management, audit and compliance effective April 16.
The university鈥檚 Board of Trustees approved her appointment in February.
Bishop is currently University of Central Florida鈥檚 chief compliance and ethics officer and previously held senior-level compliance and research administration positions at Virginia Commonwealth University. At both of those institutions she built the compliance and ethics programs from the ground up. She has been recognized nationally for her system-wide work in Florida.
Her career in academics spans more than 28 years, including 23 years focused on medical research and compliance.

Bishop鈥檚 new position was created in 2017 when the university restructured an associate vice president for audit and institutional compliance position.

Bishop earned an MBA and bachelors from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a She is founding chair of the Florida State University System Compliance and Ethics Consortium.
