LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville will participate in V-Day 2014, a global movement that seeks to end violence against women, with events and activities Feb. 3-8.
Under the theme “VWEEK: Rising for Justice 2014,” UofL’s events are designed to draw attention to the one billion women globally who the United Nations says will be raped or beaten in their lifetimes. V-Day’s goal is to have one billion women and their supporters worldwide take a stand to end violence.
V-Day events at UofL are organized by the Prevention, ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ and Advocacy on Campus and in the Community (PEACC). Activities are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted and include:
