UofL basketball legends offer advice for college basketball brackets

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. 鈥 Basketball fans are invited to kick off the NCAA tournament and glean expert advice on their college brackets March 14 at 鈥,鈥 an annual event hosted by the UofL Alumni Association

    ESPN 680鈥檚 Jason Anderson will serve as emcee. The newly-expanded panel of experts will include Hall of Fame members Denny Crum, UofL coach from 1971-2001; Darrell Griffith, shooting guard from 1976-1980; Marques Maybin, guard from 1997-2001; and Luke Hancock, forward from 2012-2014.

    Guests will enjoy an autograph signing session with the panel at 5 p.m. followed by dinner and discussion of this year鈥檚 NCAA tournament bracket.

    Tickets for Bracketology are $50 and maybe purchased . The event takes place at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Ave.

    Those who would like to also support The Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation, Inc., which awards scholarships to individuals who demonstrate leadership, community service and academic achievement, may text 41444 and type in 鈥淒ENNYCRUM鈥 to make a secure gift. Last year, 100 students received $1,000 scholarships.

    Niki King Jones is positive she has the best job at the University of Louisville, serving the communication needs of the departments of fine arts and theatre, the School of Music, University Libraries and Alumni 鈥 all the fun, creative stuff.
