LOUISVILLE, Ky. 鈥 Author Edgar Rice Burroughs created the loincloth-clad character Tarzan in 1912, and 100 years later the jungle dweller is a cultural icon with his signature yodel and sparse attire.
The University of Louisville鈥檚 Special Collections Department has the world鈥檚 largest institutional collection of Tarzan materials and is honoring the 鈥渁pe man鈥 with a birthday party Sunday, Oct. 28, at 3:30 p.m. in Ekstrom Library鈥檚 Chao Auditorium.
