LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A North Korean defector will be the first of three lecturers for the Fall Speaker Series at The John H. Schnatter Center for Free Enterprise at the University of Louisville College of Business.

Twenty-two-year-old will give a free, public talk on Sept. 15 at 4:30 p.m. titled, “In Order to Live: My Journey to Freedom.” It will be held in Strickler Hall’s Middleton Auditorium.

Her talk opens the series “Asia: From Communism to Capitalism” that kicks off the Center’s second year. The other speakers in the series will be , “The Tragedy of Liberation,” on Oct. 10, and , “How China Became Capitalist,” on Nov. 14. Both talks are at 4:30 p.m. in the PNC Horn Auditorium in the college’s Harry Frazier Hall.

 “We’re looking forward to an outstanding lineup of programs and speakers in our second year of programming,” said Schnatter Center Director Stephan Gohmann. “During the fall semester, we’re focusing on Asia and its dramatic evolution toward a free market economy.”
