More than $27,000 raised for Dare to Care Food Bank
University of Louisville students and Sodexo, the university’s dining services provider, joined to fight hunger this month, raising a campus record $27,643.12 for Dare to Care Food Bank.
UofL wins Alltech business plan contest
Trifecta Cooking Equipment, a team of University of Louisville graduate entrepreneurship students, won the 2014 Alltech Innovation Competition April 26 in Lexington, claiming a $10,000 prize.
College of Business dean to take leave of absence

Kempf-Leonard chosen as new dean for College of Arts and Sciences
UofL has selected Southern Illinois University administrator Kimberly Kempf-Leonard as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Kempf-Leonard’s appointment was approved April 25 by the UofL Board of Trustees Personnel Committee; she will start Aug. 1 pending approval by the full board in May.
