Darrell A. Griffith named associate vice president for health affairs at UofL
Darrell A. Griffith has been named the new associate vice president for health affairs/finance and administration for the University of Louisville Health Sciences Center. He also will assume the position of vice president/CFO for University of Louisville Physicians. Griffith comes from the University of Kentucky/UK Healthcare, where he was the executive director for the faculty practice organization.
Kempf-Leonard, Duncan, Mardis, Christie-David named to key positions
The Board of Trustees on Thursday approved the appointment of Kimberly Kempf-Leonard as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Kempf-Leonard comes to UofL from Southern Illinois University, where she has served as dean of the College of Liberal Arts. She will assume the new post on Aug. 1.
4th annual Faculty/Staff Open Walls exhibit opens May 12
The fourth annual Faculty/Staff Open Walls exhibit opens May 12 in Photographic Archives, located in the lower level of Ekstrom Library. The exhibit will be on display until noon, Friday, May 23. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

UofL trustees approve budget, tuition and fees
The University of Louisville Board of Trustees today approved a $1.2 billion dollar budget for 2014-15. The new budget, which takes effect July 1, includes a 5 percent tuition increase for all in-state students and a 2.1 percent hike for nonresident undergraduates.
