Trustees extend energy-saving project
The University of Louisville鈥檚 Board of Trustees today voted to extend an existing contract with Siemens Industry Inc. that has saved UofL $12.9 million in energy costs in six years.
UofL celebrates largest gift to Cardinal Covenant program

Hughes elected UofL Foundation board chairman
The University of Louisville Foundation Board of Directors has elected Dr. Robert Hughes as chairman. Hughes is a family physician and managing partner of Primary Care Medical Center in Murray, Ky. He also chairs the University of Louisville Board of Trustees.
UofL and UK teaming up to save money on contracts
The University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky are partnering to purchase scientific supplies鈥攁 move that will save thousands of dollars per year on items such as gloves, pipette tips, centrifuges and upright freezers.
Staff honored for outstanding performance
President James Ramsey honored 20 staff members Jan. 30 for their hard work, dedication to students and the university, leadership and public service at the annual Outstanding Performance Awards reception. Also this year, the first Supervisor of the Year was honored.
