LOUISVILLE, Ky. 鈥 The University of Louisville will honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Jan. 21 with a keynote speaker, performance of the African American Theatre Program and a day of community service.
All events are free and open to the public. Here are the details:
- The UofL Yearlings Club Forum Series and the AATP present a at The Playhouse, 1911 S. Third St., starting at 1 p.m. Using the theme 鈥淭he Beauty of Diversity; the Courage to Serve,鈥 the event features keynote speaker , Jefferson County Public School Board member and senior pastor of Burnett Avenue Baptist Church. AATP students will perform and UofL鈥檚 will receive this year鈥檚 Lift Every Voice Award.

- Students from UofL鈥檚 Engage Lead Serve Board will sponsor the annual听. The public is invited to take a 鈥渄ay on, not a day off鈥 and join students as they perform community service in the Louisville area. The event includes food and a T-shirt. Participants should meet in the Student Activities Center鈥檚 Multipurpose Room, Belknap Campus, at 10 a.m. to sign up for a service site and hear a guest speaker. Transportation to service sites leaves at 11 a.m. and will return to campus at 2 p.m.
