Over 1,000 University of Louisville students will graduate this semester and 850 plan to take part in the university鈥檚 Dec. 18 commencement at the KFC Yum! Center.
UofL President James Ramsey will preside at the 7 p.m. and bioengineering student and Louisville native Louis Curtis will be the student speaker.
will go to Ulysses 鈥淛unior鈥 Bridgeman Jr., a 1975 graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences and former Cardinal basketball player who played professionally after college, and his spouse Doris Bridgeman, a 1974 College of Business graduate.
A 3 p.m. doctoral hooding ceremony, hosted by the School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies, will precede the main commencement ceremony.
Some free parking is available on surface streets near the center and paid parking is available in the center鈥檚 garage and other nearby garages.
