UofL President James Ramsey accepted the “Gift of Life Challenge” trophy at the UofL-UK basketball game Jan. 2. The challenge is a friendly competition to see which university can get the most people to sign up as organ donors by joining the Kentucky Organ Donor Registry.��More than 1.2 million Kentuckians have placed their names on the registry; 900 Kentuckians are awaiting a life-saving organ transplant.

This is the 11th year that UofL and UK supporters have gone head-to-head in the Donate Life Kentucky Coalition-sponsored contest. This is the third time that UofL has won the challenge.
