
The University of Louisville and will present a free seminar open to the public on immunotherapy in the treatment of cancer at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 15. The event will be held in rooms 101-102 of the Kosair Charities Clinical and Translational Research Building, 505 S. Hancock St.
, New York Times bestselling author of 鈥淭he Good Nurse,鈥 and , a cancer researcher at the University of Chicago, will discuss Graeber鈥檚 new book, 鈥淭he Breakthrough: Immunotherapy and the Race to Cure Cancer.鈥 The book examines the ways in which cancer proliferates by avoiding the immune system, and the important new cancer immunotherapies that are beginning to unleash the immune system to fight 鈥 and beat 鈥 聽the disease.聽
Following the discussion, a question-and-answer session will be held.
Lunch will be provided at the seminar at no cost but seating is limited.聽
