Local artists Joan Shelley and Elephant Micah will perform at WFPK鈥檚 鈥淟ive Lunch鈥 program at the Red Barn Friday, Sept. 18.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the live broadcast starts at noon.

UofL鈥檚 Student Activities Board and聽the Red Barn Alumni Association聽sponsor the show.

Joan Shelley is a singer/songwriter that channels old time country and folk music. She recently released a new album, 鈥淥ver and Even.鈥

Eclectic style, multi-instrumentalist, Elephant Micah, will open the show. His latest LP, 鈥淲here in Our Woods,鈥 is on sale now.

SAB will offer attendees a free grilled lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks.

UofL students and employees can attend free of charge, but they need valid UofL IDs for entry. A limited number of seats are reserved for pre-registered Louisville Public Media members. Remaining seats are first come, first serve.

鈥淟ive Lunch鈥 is a weekly concert produced by WFPK. The program features local acts or groups that are in town for performances later the evening of the broadcast.

SAB has partnered with the radio station since 2009 to host a few 鈥淟ive Lunch鈥 broadcasts at the Red Barn each year.
