The University of Louisville gives four awards in music composition, world order, psychology and education and gives a joint award in religion with the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

Denver scholar and U.S. State Department strategist , recipients of the world order award for the ideas in their book, 鈥淲hy Civil Resistance Works: The Strategic Logic of Non-Violent Conflict.鈥
- 3 p.m. April 23, Bird Recital Hall, School of Music, UofL
Dutch composer , recipient of the music composition award for 鈥淯p-close,鈥 a 30-minute virtuoso multimedia cello concerto fusing music and art.
