Using technology to help older adults, their families and caregivers will be the focus of a free Louisville Technology Festival program sponsored by the Institute for Sustainable Health & Optimal Aging at the University of Louisville.
鈥淥ver 70 and Connected: Tech Tools That Work鈥 will be presented at the Institute, located in the Nucleus Building, 300 E. Market St., from 2-3:30 p.m., Friday Aug. 21.
One of the events of the inaugural , 鈥淥ver 70 and Connected鈥 will examine current and evolving technology that supports optimal aging. Speakers will take a look at what works with those in aging care scenarios regarding best uses of technology. They will explore other mobile applications that work for communication and with those in home care, as well as fun applications for the healthy boomers.
Speakers include Dr. Anna Faul, executive director of the institute; Joe Steier, president and CEO, and Dianne Timmering, vice president of spirituality and legislative affairs, Signature Healthcare; John Reinhart, CEO, InnovateLTC; and Barbara Gordon, director of social services, Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency.
