UofL鈥檚 Kent School of Social Work and Office of Community Engagement are offering a free caregiver luncheon Nov. 7 to show appreciation for Louisville-area people who tend to others and to remind them to safeguard their own health. The 11 a.m.-2 p.m. event will be at the Muhammad Ali Center, 144 N. Sixth St., in downtown Louisville.
Civic leader Alice Houston, co-founder, president and owner of Louisville-based logistics services provider Houston-Johnson Inc., will speak at the luncheon about 鈥淐aregiving: An Unselfish Act of Love.鈥
Vendors from health care agencies will provide information about their services and home care products.
