Dewey Clayton, professor of political science, will discuss his 2010 book, 鈥淭he Presidential Campaign of Barack Obama: A Critical Analysis of a Racially Transcendent Strategy.鈥 Clayton鈥檚 book examines how race in U.S. politics has changed and offers insight into Obama鈥檚 2008 candidacy.
Jason Gainous, associate professor of political science, will discuss 鈥淩ebooting American Politics: The Internet Revolution,鈥 a 2010 book he co-wrote that explores the implications of the growing use of the Internet in the U.S. political landscape.
Blaine Hudson, College of Arts and Sciences dean and professor of Pan-African studies, will discuss 鈥淭wo Centuries of Black Louisville: A Photographic History,鈥 a 2011 book he co-wrote that traces African American history in Louisville back to 1778.
All three authors will be showcased from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday on BookTV on C-SPAN2.
Their interviews also will be shown over the weekend between regularly scheduled programs on BookTV and can be seen indefinitely after Aug. 5 .
