After months of brainstorming and benchmarking, a new and improved UofL Today daily email will appear in your inbox starting Monday, Oct. 3. Changes have been made to present an updated, visually appealing message while continuing to deliver important, campus-wide news, announcements and events.
The new UofL Today will promote the successes of our faculty/staff and celebrate our research grant procurements. The popular 鈥淒id You Know鈥 section will continue to be featured, as well. All of this information will be presented in a cleaner, more readable format.
The change also will allow the university to track readership of UofL Today, telling us which stories are most important to our audience聽and offering data we can use to make the email even more useful for faculty and staff.
Most noticeable will be a change to the Friday email. In lieu of the Friday UofL Today, we will send a new, weekly UofL News Digest email to faculty, staff and 鈥 for the first time 鈥搒tudents. This digest will include a roundup of the week鈥檚 top stories from UofLNews.com, which offers news, videos, photo galleries and features showcasing every corner of our campus. The best source for university news, UofLNews.com shines a light on our ambitious people, our groundbreaking research and our innovative programs.
As with any change, the new UofL Today will entail some process adjustments. Faculty and staff wanting to promote a Friday event should submit the information by noon Wednesday to appear in Thursday鈥檚 email. The submission process itself will remain the .
As we transition into these new email platforms, we encourage you to provide us with information 鈥 about an event, a colleague, a student, a program, a historical tidbit 鈥 so that we can share our many points of pride.
